Meet The Artist
Hi! I'm Donatello Robert Lue Graves, A.K.A Grave Robert. I'm a prolific digital illustrator, character designer, and storyteller. I have an AA-T in Art Studio and Art History, and I am pursuing my Bachelors in Art and Art Education. I tend to have a cartoony style, and I like to have a comedic edge. I'm a cat dad to Chowder, my 5 year old furry son. If I'm not drawing, you can often find me attempting to juggle, settling in for a YouTube video or TV series that I've already seen a million times, or being dragged out of my apartment by my loving friends. It's these day to day things that inspire me to create characters and stories that mirror the reality we live in, with an absurdist and fantasy spin. When I start a project, I love to be hands on and learn everything there is to learn to make it happen. Suffice to say, I have acquired a lot of extra skills, including but not limited to graphic design, game design, script writing, juggling, crochet, needle felting, ceramics, and so on!
Meet Chowder
This is Chowder, AKA Chimmy AKA Chimothy AKA Pooba AKA smallest man ever, AKA- you get the point. He's my world, and as such, has inspired me in so many ways. He might not be very smart, but what he lacks in braincells he makes up for in sweetness and emotional support. He keeps me busy too of course, having a son is a full time job!
Current Project:
Meet Ace, Jack, and Diamond, apart of the Jack Of All Trades (working title) series. We follow them through their experiences on earth, as they try to find their place in it all. They take on a new form to fit in a little better on earth, better resembling humans.
Their original forms are a little more terrifying, as they were forged and raised in hell. Thanks to Diamonds spellcasting abilities, the trio can keep their disguises. Though, they won't be completely alone on this brand new planet.
Soon, we get to meet their earthly companions, Canny, Prudence, and Frugal. Another set of technicolored siblings to teach them the terrestrial ropes. They're definitely well acquainted with humanity, but there's certainly something off about this roughed up bunch.
Currently the project is in early phases, but enjoy a massive cast expression sheet.
